Join the members of the South Florida Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists on August 3rd as we take a tour of Anne Mergen: Florida Cartoons at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida. The exhibit will display over two dozen of Mergen’s original cartoon renderings from the Great Depression through the Cold War.
The 2008 SPJ Convention & National Journalism Conference, which takes place Sept. 4-7 in Atlanta, is your chance to meet and connect with reporters, editors, freelancers and educators from across the world for three days of excitement.
David Sirota, a nationally syndicated columnist, joins the South Florida chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for an evening of discussion, insight and a reading of his latest New York Times Bestseller: The Uprising: An Unauthorized Tour of the Populist Revolt Scaring Wall Street & Washington (Crown Publishers, May 2008).
The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and Atlanta Press Club (APC) will honor the best in journalism from 11 states in one night at APC’s 2008 Annual Gala/ Green Eyeshade Awards.
