Miami-Dade College’s Journalism Speaker Series continues November 20th at the Wolfson Campus. The featured speaker will be Pulitzer prize-winning features writer, Lane DeGregory. DeGregory of the St. Petersburg Times won the prize in 2009 for her series “The Girl in the Window.”
The Florida Society of News Editors, in association with the Florida Press Association and the Asian American Journalists Association, will hold an all-day, multimedia skills workshop Saturday, Dec. 12 at the University of Miami School of Communication. The workshop is open to all print, video and digital journalists and educators who are interested in building their multimedia toolbox. There will be all day sessions and partial day seminars taught by recognized Florida experts in their fields.
