Membership
When you join the Society of Professional Journalists, you advance both your career and the journalism industry. You gain access to professional development events, a network of your peers in the 250 SPJ chapters nationwide, and industry news and information. You also support SPJ’s advocacy for Freedom of Information and First Amendment rights.
SPJ welcomes journalists in all stages of their careers – from college students to working journalists to retirees. The organization also welcomes non-journalists who want to support the SPJ mission by becoming associate members.
