Aventura Mall is the largest shopping center in Florida, a roughly 2.7-million-square-foot complex at 19501 Biscayne Boulevard in Aventura, in northeast Miami-Dade County. You come here for the biggest brand mix in South Florida, from Louis Vuitton and Cartier to Zara and Apple, plus Treats Food Hall, a public art collection and a nine-story slide you can actually ride. Parking is free, hours shift seasonally, so check the Hours page at aventuramall.com before you go.

Plan your visit

- Pick an entrance near your first stop using the online directory map.
- Park in the garage closest to that wing, or use valet if you’re short on time.
- Shop the luxury corridor first, before weekend crowds arrive.

What you need

- A light layer, since the air conditioning runs cold
- Your parking level noted in your phone
- A stroller if you have small kids, or rent one at guest services
Getting there and parking

The mall sits at the corner of Biscayne Boulevard (US 1) and the William Lehman Causeway, which is NE 192nd Street. From I-95, exit at Ives Dairy Road (NE 203rd Street) or Miami Gardens Drive (NE 186th Street) and head east to Biscayne. Both approaches back up on Saturday afternoons, so plan around that or arrive before noon.
Self-parking is free in the multi-level garages that wrap around the building. Each garage lines up with a wing, so match your garage to the anchor you want. The garage by the three-level expansion puts you steps from Treats Food Hall and the slide. Valet is available at several entrances for a fee; confirm the current rate on the mall’s Parking page.
Without a car, Miami-Dade Transit buses on the Biscayne corridor stop at the mall, and Broward County Transit’s US 1 route ends here, which makes it a handy transfer point between the two counties. Brightline’s Aventura station is a short distance away and the city’s free Aventura Express shuttle loops past the mall. Check the Brightline and Miami-Dade Transit sites for the current connection, since shuttle timing changes.
Local tip
Skip the main Biscayne entrances on weekends and come in from the north side off NE 199th Street. The garages there fill later and you avoid the causeway merge.
Shopping by section
Luxury row
The luxury boutiques cluster on the lower level near Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s. Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Fendi, Burberry and Givenchy all have storefronts, and several watch brands sit nearby. This is the stretch that earned Aventura its reputation as Miami’s luxury mall outside Bal Harbour, and it is where the sales associates expect appointments on busy days. If you want a specific bag or watch, call the boutique ahead; store phone numbers are listed on each store page in the directory.
Department stores and mainstream brands
Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and JCPenney anchor the main building. Between them you get the usual high-traffic names: Zara, H&M, Uniqlo, Nike, Adidas, Lululemon and Sephora. The Apple store is one of the larger ones in the state and is the single busiest spot in the mall, so book Genius Bar appointments online instead of walking in.
The expansion wing
The three-level wing that opened in 2017 is where the mall feels most modern. It has the glassy architecture, the open atrium, the Carsten Höller slide and most of the newer restaurants. Tesla keeps a showroom here, and this is also where pop-up shops and seasonal activations usually land. If you only have an hour, spend it in this wing.
Wellness and services
The directory has a dedicated wellness category that covers salons, skincare and fitness-adjacent shops, and Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s both run beauty counters with walk-in services. Guest services near the main entrance handles gift cards, stroller and wheelchair loans, and lost and found.
Dining

Treats Food Hall is on the expansion wing’s upper level and is the easiest answer for a group that can’t agree. Shake Shack and Luke’s Lobster are the headliners, with a rotating set of counters around them. For a sit-down meal, CVI.CHE 105 does Peruvian, Serafina covers Italian, Tap 42 handles burgers and brunch, and The Cheesecake Factory is the big-menu fallback near the older wings.
Restaurant lineups change more than store lineups, so treat the Dining page on the mall’s site as the source of truth. Several restaurants take reservations through their own sites, which matters on Friday and Saturday nights when waits at the walk-in spots pass an hour.
Good to know
Valet lines and restaurant waits peak between 6 and 8 p.m. on weekends. Eat early or late, and expect to pay for valet even if you only came for dinner.
Art and the slide

Aventura Mall doubles as an outdoor and indoor sculpture park, and the works are credited on small plaques if you look. The piece everyone photographs is the Aventura Slide Tower by Carsten Höller, a 93-foot spiral slide at the expansion wing. It is free to ride, you sit on a provided mat, and there is a minimum height, so check the posted rules at the base before promising a small child a turn.
Near the slide you’ll find the Haas Brothers’ bronze gorillas, which kids climb on even though they shouldn’t, and Louise Bourgeois’s granite Eye Benches outside, which make a fine shaded spot to regroup. The collection extends through the older wings too. The mall publishes a walking list under its Arts section if you want to see all of it rather than stumbling across pieces.
Best time to go
Weekday mornings right at opening give you empty luxury boutiques and a full choice of parking. Sunday hours start later and end earlier than the rest of the week, so it is the wrong day for a long session.
The three weeks before Christmas and the back-to-school stretch in August are the heaviest. International visitors, especially from Latin America, drive a second surge in July and around Easter. Summer afternoons bring daily thunderstorms, which is actually an argument for the mall; park in the garage and you never get wet.
Hours and holiday schedules are posted on the Hours page at aventuramall.com, and that is the only place to trust for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day times.
What’s nearby
Haulover Beach and Sunny Isles Beach are ten minutes east over the causeway if you want sand after shopping. Oleta River State Park, with its kayak launches and mountain bike trails, is just south off NE 163rd Street. Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, a few minutes north on US 1, has its own open-air shops and racing in winter.
For a different shopping day, Bal Harbour Shops down Collins Avenue is smaller and more exclusively high-end. If outlets and discounted brands are the goal, head west to the “dolphin mall” in Sweetwater, which is a cheaper, more value-focused trip.
When to get help
Call the specific store before driving over for a limited item; numbers are on each store’s directory page. For lost property, accessibility requests or event questions, start with Guest Services on the main level or the Contact section of aventuramall.com.
