Call for Entries – 2010 Sunshine State Awards

SPJ’s South Florida Pro Chapter is pleased to announce the 16th annual Sunshine State Awards competition, open to all print, broadcast and online journalists in the State of Florida. All entries for the 2010 competition must be received (not postmarked) by 7 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2010.

Shield Law Passes Senate Judiciary Committee

We’d like to share this breaking news with you about one of the issues SPJ has been tracking closely for several years: The shield law bill, S. 448, has passed the Senate Judiciary Committee. It will now go to the full Senate.
