Our job is to be useful and right. These standards apply to every guide and every news story on SoFla Guide.
Sourcing
- Facts in news stories come from named outlets or official sources: courts, counties, teams, the National Hurricane Center. A story needs at least two independent outlets or the official source itself before we publish it.
- Every claim is attributed in the text, so you can see where it came from.
- Guides are checked against the official source for addresses, fees, hours and rules, and say where to confirm details that change.
Sensitive stories
Deaths, illness, crimes and court cases get straight, factual headlines. We report what is on the record, such as charges, filings and verdicts, and we do not publish rumors about private people.
Images
Photos of real people are licensed images. We never publish AI-generated images of real people. Illustrations and scene images are used only for places, weather and objects.
Independence
We do not accept payment to cover a business, team or event. If we ever add affiliate links or sponsored content, it will be labeled on the page.
